At Ferrum, being part of the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce means showing up and supporting the local business community. That’s exactly what we experienced at the Connections, Cocktails & Grand Reveal at the Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago Northwest – Elgin.
After more than a year of renovations, the transformation was clear. Guests had the opportunity to tour the updated guest rooms, now offering expanded suite-style options, along with the refreshed lobby, pool area, and Bennigan’s restaurant just off the main space. Each area felt modern, welcoming, and designed to support both hospitality and business needs.

The event brought together a strong mix of professionals and organizations across Elgin, including members of the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce, and representatives from local groups such as the Elgin History Museum and the Elgin Area
Convention & Visitors Bureau.
More than just a walkthrough, it felt like a true open-house experience—an opportunity to connect, reconnect, and see firsthand how spaces like this continue to support collaboration and growth across the community.
