On Thursday, October 8, Ferrum Technology Services joined the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce and business professionals from across the region for Fall Into Business 2026 at Villa Olivia Country Club in Bartlett, Illinois.

The annual multi-chamber luncheon brought together members from 19 area chambers for a format designed to create more meaningful conversations than a typical seated lunch. Instead of remaining at one table for the full meal, attendees moved between courses and met a new group of professionals at each stop.

A Networking Lunch That Kept Conversations Moving

The progressive luncheon format turned each course into a new networking opportunity.

Guests began with salad and introductions at one table, then moved to a new table for the main course and another for dessert. Each group created a chance to share a little about their organization, learn what others do, and make connections that may not have happened in a traditional networking setting.

That simple structure kept the room active and gave attendees more opportunities to meet business leaders from different industries, communities, and chamber networks.

Connecting Through the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce

Events such as Fall Into Business show the value of regional chamber collaboration. Businesses do not grow in isolation. They grow through trusted relationships, shared ideas, local partnerships, and conversations that create new opportunities.

The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce was one of the participating chambers, helping connect the Elgin business community with professionals from throughout the greater Chicago area.

For Ferrum, it was a valuable opportunity to meet local leaders, hear about the work happening across the region, and continue building relationships within the business community we serve.

A Well Attended Business Expo

Following the luncheon, attendees had additional time to network during the business expo. Sponsor and exhibitor tables gave organizations another way to introduce their services, continue conversations, and connect with potential partners.

The event was well attended, organized, and designed to make networking feel more natural. Moving from table to table created a built-in reason to start conversations, while the expo gave those connections room to continue.
